WHO ARE PARKES ENERGY RECOVERY?

Parkes Energy Recovery will be delivered by a consortium led by Tribe Infrastructure Group (Tribe) and comprising Tadweer Group and HiQ Group (HiQ). Kanadevia Inova (KVI) is the reference technology provider for Parkes Energy Recovery who will be working with them to design and operate the facility.

Tadweer Group

Tadweer Group (part of ADQ), formerly known as the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (rebranded as Tadweer Group in 2024), oversees waste management and recycling services in Abu Dhabi. ADQ is a sovereign wealth fund of the government of Abu Dhabi. ADQ seeks out compelling opportunities across economic clusters that are critical to realizing Abu Dhabi’s economic vision, including Energy & Utilities, Food & Agriculture, Healthcare & Life Sciences and Transport & Logistics.

TRIBE Infrastructure group

Tribe Infrastructure Group (Tribe) is an advisory and investment practice specialised in the development and financing of infrastructure transactions. They have offices in the United Arab Emirates, Australia, United Kingdom and the Philippines, Tribe provides a wide range of advisory and development services to clients that span the project life-cycle, including strategic planning, project development, M&A and restructuring of operational assets. In 2019 Masdar and Tribe formed an Abu Dhabi based joint venture known as Masdar Tribe Energy for their joint investment in the East Rockingham Waste to Energy Project. Masdar is wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi government’s Mubadala Investment Company.

HiQ Group

HiQ began in 1964 as a single quarry and bulk transport operator. They provide waste solutions spanning resource recovery, material treatment, energy generation and storage, and more effective disposal options for government, major infrastructure and private contractors.

Kanadevia Inova

Kanadevia Inova were established in 1933 as “L. von Roll Aktiengesellschaft”, later known as Von Roll Inova. Since 2010 they have been part of the Kanadevia Corporation, one of Japan’s largest industrial and engineering firms and a longstanding partner and licensee of Von Roll Inova. They have built and maintained plants for almost 90 years, with 1575 plants worldwide. They develop projects with clients and then draw on experience as a general engineering, procurement and construction contractor to deliver on their behalf complex turnkey plants and system solutions for thermal and biological WtE recovery, gas upgrading and power to gas. They also offer after-sales services for operators of existing plants.
